33-year-old motorcyclist dies following crash at the intersection of Five Points Business Park Rd and the 400 block of Arnold Blvd

Abilene, TEXAS – Abilene Police Department officials said the fatal crash occurred right after 9 p.m. Wednesday night.

It happened at the intersection of Five Points Business Park Rd and the 400 block of Arnold Blvd.

Abilene Police Department officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash.

The responding officers discovered that Honda motorcycle was traveling south on Arnold with a single rider.

Chevrolet Camaro was traveling north on Arnold and was turning onto Five Points Business Park Rd when the collision occurred.

The motorcycle impacted the car on the front passenger side of the vehicle.

The rider was ejected from the motorcycle, landing in the roadway.

The rider was transported to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition.

He was pronounced deceased at the hospital early this morning.

The motorcycle rider was later identified as 33-year-old Joseph Grumbles.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
