ABILENE, TX — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed the 111th COVID-19-related death in Taylor County Thursday.
The patient was a man in his 80s and it was unknown if he had pre-existing health conditions at the time of the release.
The health district also reported 242 new confirmed COVID-19 cases – 84 PCR and 158 antigen.
There were 71 recoveries also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,772.
One-hundred-six current hospitalizations were included in the report.
Taylor County has administered 32,671 PCR and 36,331 antigen tests. Of those tests, 3,443 PCR and 4,417 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
There were 29,228 negative PCR and 31,914 negative antigen test results reported.
Additionally, the health district said there will be a delay in data processing because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Data received Thursday and Friday will be processed on Saturday and posted on Sunday.
