ABILENE, TX – Law enforcement agencies in Burnet and Travis counties converged in the Spicewood area Monday, April 26, after a man fled from Burnet County deputies who were responding to a call about someone “passed out” in the parking lot of a convenience store.
The suspect took off on foot after deputies arrived at the store at about 9 a.m.
Authorities provided a name and description of the man following the initial search but later reported that they might have misidentified him. The Burnet County Sheriff’s Office suspended the search and is working to verify the man’s identity.
