Abilene, TX – According to the police officials, his name is Joel Rakesh Thomas and he was indicted by a Taylor County Grand Jury Thursday.
The suspect was indicted in connection to the death of his 68-year grandmother.
Her name is Judi Jones and she was found dead inside her apartment on the 2500 block of Alamo Drive in June.
The responding officers found the victim dead. Authorities quickly identified her grandson as a possible suspect and located him at a local motel along with his 10-year-old son.
His 10-year-old son said that as he was leaving the house, he noticed that his grandmother had been into an altercation and was covered with blood in her living room.
