TEXAS – According to the statement, all military troops must immediately begin to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Defense Department memo said:
“To defend this Nation, we need a healthy and ready force. After careful consultation with military experts and military leadership, and with the support of the President, I have determined that mandatory vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is necessary to protect the force and defend the American people.”
More than 800,000 service members have yet to get their shots, according to Pentagon data. And now that the Pfizer vaccine has received full approval from the Food and Drug Administration, the Defense Department is adding it to the list of required shots troops must get as part of their military service.”
As we all know by now, the FDA issued full authorization to Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccines on Monday.
The Food and Drug Administration granted Pfizer and BioNTech full U.S. approval of their Covid-19 vaccine – becoming the first in the U.S. to win the coveted designation and giving even more businesses, schools and universities greater confidence to adopt vaccine mandates.
