According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 4 p.m. Aug. 1, 2020.
The 23-month-old boy was rushed to a hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
Authorities in say that autopsy confirmed the boy’s death was the result of the blunt force injures.
The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
The boy’s caretaker, Jhonny Junior Salvatore Suarez Rivera, has been identified as the suspect in this case.
Police say Suarez Rivera was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder and Child Endangerment Resulting in Death on Sunday.
