Authorities in Texas investigating Tuesday afternoon officer involved shooting in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH – According to the police officials, the shooting occurred right after noon on Tuesday.

It happened in the 10400 block of Bear Creek Trail.

Authorities said the 29-year-old suspect was shot and killed by police officer after pointing gun at him.

His identity has not yet been released.

Fort Worth Police Department officers responded to a report about a person with a weapon.

The responding officers found the 29-year-old suspect with a gun in his hand.

They tried to make contact with the suspect, but he pointed his gun at the officers.

At least one of the officers fired his gun shooting the suspect to death.

The incident is being investigated by the Internal Affairs.
