ABILENE, TX – On Wednesday, around midnight, a house near the China Star restaurant got caught on fire.
When the fire crews arrived to the duplex in the 100 block of Ruby Street, they were able to contain and extinguish the fire.
The house was heavily damaged from the smoke and fire, and luckily, everyone got evacuated safely from the house.
An investigation is still open for the cause of the fire, and the damage is estimated to be around $20,000.
