A TDCJ employee diagnosed with COVID-19 On March 26 died Monday of complications from the virus

HUNTSVILLE, Texas – According to the statement, his name is Bill (Shane) Ball, an inventory and store specialist with 16 months of service with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

He was assigned to the Wynne Food Service Unit in Huntsville.

The 34-year-old man brought his best to work every single day and in a short time made a mark on Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Bill Ball was willing to serve.

He leaves behind a wife who also is a part of the TDCJ family and two young girls. Our prayers are with his family in this trying time.

As a result of the pandemic 47  TDCJ employees have died so far.
