Abilene man arrested for having more than 16 ounces of methamphetamine

ABILENE, TX — The Abilene Police Department said in a release Wednesday its Special Operation agents arrested an Abilene man for having more than 16 ounces of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $28,000.

Agents executed a search and arrest warrant at a home in the 800 block of Hailey Street in southeast Abilene Tuesday, May 11.

They found 16.75 ounces of methamphetamine in the home.

Michael Anthony Guajardo of Abilene was arrested and charged with first-degree felony manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. He is being held in the Taylor County Jail with bond set at $50,000.

APD said the investigation is ongoing.
