ABILENE, TX — Abilene Police Chief Stan Standridge is the new president of the Texas Police Chief’s Association.
Standridge was sworn in Friday during a ceremony in Belton.
Founded in 1958, the TPCA’s mission is to:
- Promote and enhance the professional development of all executive and management personnel within duly constituted law enforcement agencies in the state of Texas
- Encourage close cooperation and partnerships with all law enforcement agencies and the citizens they serve
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of the police profession through selection and training of law enforcement officers and police personnel
Standridge joins Abilene Police Chief Melvin Martin who also served as the TPCA President in 2007-2008.
