ABILENE, TX — The Abilene Police Department’s Bomb Squad was called to the south Walmart on Wednesday morning.
Police said a man in a black SUV pulled up to the front of the store.
He gave a box to one of the employees checking masks and said it was a cell phone return for a manager.
The manager thought it felt heavier than just a cell phone, so she put the box in a shopping cart, wheeled it to the side of the store and called police.
The patrol officer thought it was also suspicious, so the bomb squad was called to investigate.
