Abilene police: Suspects pointed guns at victim, followed him

Abilene police arrested two men accused of pointing guns at a man and following him.

Xavier Jerimike Daniels-Halley, 20, and Joseph Whitney Black, 18, are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim called police around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He said “multiple black males” pointed guns at him and were following him.

According to police, Daniels-Halley and Black are a “danger to public safety based on (their) gang affiliation(s) and dangerous actions that could have led to more serious injuries.”

Police said they requested high bonds be set.

Black’s bond was set at $26,820.

Daniels-Halley’s bond was set at $45,000. His was higher because of two other warrants.
