TYE, TX— An Abilene woman has been charged with aggravated assault following a shooting in Tye over the weekend.
Bakiya Smith, 27, of Abilene self surrendered to the Taylor County Jail on Wednesday, according to Tye PD and Taylor County Jail Records.
Tye police responded to a shooting at 126 South Access Road in Tye shortly after 3:15 a.m. on April 18.
One victim was shot in the chest. That person’s current condition is unknown.
Smith was released on Thursday from the Taylor County Jail after posting a $100,000 bond.
