JONES COUNTY, TX — An Abilene woman died Saturday evening in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Jones County.
According to a Texas Department of Public Safety preliminary crash report, Amanda Renee Charlton of Abilene was driving a 2003 Jaguar east on County Road 414, five miles northwest of Tye. The vehicle veered off the south side of the roadway and rolled over to the left, ejecting Charlton, who was not wearing a seat belt.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
The crash remains under DPS investigation.
