COVID-19 postpones fourth straight Texas A&M basketball game

Texas – Texas A&M’s scheduled game at Florida on Saturday night has been postponed because of multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the A&M program. This is the fourth consecutive game A&M has had postponed because of COVID-19 issues in the program.

A&M is 8-7 overall and 2-6 in SEC play under second-year coach Buzz Williams, and last played in a 68-61 victory at Kansas State on in the annual Big 12/SEC Challenge on Jan. 30. Since then A&M has had home games against Vanderbilt and Georgia and road games at Arkansas and Florida postponed.

The Aggies are next scheduled to host No. 11 Alabama on Wednesday night. A&M has five regular season games remaining, the last on March 3 at home against Mississippi State, and the SEC tournament is scheduled to start on March 10 in Nashville, Tenn., meaning the window for any potential makeup games is tight.
