ABILENE, TX — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District confirmed five additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Sunday.
The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 263.
The patients were: a man in his 80s, a man in his 70s and three women in their 80s.
No other information about the patients was available at the time of the release.
The health district reported 115 new confirmed COVID-19 cases – 79 PCR and 36 antigen.
There were 128 recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 10,949.
One-hundred-two hospitalizations were included in the report.
As of Jan. 24, Taylor County has administered 50,053 PCR and 64,549 antigen tests, of which, 6,373 PCR and 7,521 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
Additionally, 43,680 negative PCR and 57,028 negative antigen test results reported.
