ABILENE, TX – A home in North Abilene was caught on fire which spread to a nearby travel trailer. The strong winds that appeared on Thursday were partly a cause for the fast-spreading.
Around 9 p.m. the AFD was alerted of a house fire on the 3900 block of Grape Street and the flames spread fast to the trailer next to it.
There was a person with a dog in the house, but they were safely evacuated. They are still searching for the dog as it ran away from the fire.
The trailer damage was estimated at $12,500.
The house fire is still under investigation.
Red Cross offered their assistance in these hard times for the victim.
