Local resident died from injuries sustained when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle

Abilene, TX – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 8 p.m. Monday evening.

It happened in the 5200 block of Laguna Drive.

Police say a 29-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki dirt bike headed at a high rate of speed.

He ran the stop sign and crashed into a car that was headed south.

His name is Andrew David Baker and he was ejected from the motorcycle.

Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the car was not injured.
