ABILENE, TX — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported four COVID deaths, including a woman in her 30s, and 81 new cases (30 PCR, 51 antigen) on Tuesday.
The people who died are:
- Man in his 80s with preexisting conditions
- Woman in her 70s with preexisting conditions
- Woman in her 30s
- Man in his 70s
At least 179 people have died from COVID in Taylor County.
There were also 164 recoveries.
The number of active cases is 2,367 with 98 of those in the hospital.
Restrictions — such as bar closures and reduced restaurant capacity — will not be lifted until the area is below 15% COVID hospital capacity for seven straight days.
