Texas – A Department of Public Safety trooper was injured Friday morning while at the scene of an accident on U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14 just east of Copperas Cove.
The trooper was in his patrol unit when another vehicle, whose driver was traveling at an unsafe speed for the icy conditions, rear-ended the trooper’s SUV, DPS Sgt. Bryan Washko said.
The trooper and the driver of the vehicle that struck his Tahoe were both taken to a local hospital with what Washko described as non-incapacitating injuries.
The trooper is “going to be OK,” Washko said.
