TEXAS – According to the police officials, they were arrested Wednesday, June 30th around 12:40 p.m.
Ernesto Fernandez and Frank Apodaca were driving a black Chevy Avalanche on I-20 when they were pulled over by police for a traffic stop.
Two back seat passengers, along with three males in the bed of the truck were smuggled into the United States illegally.
A loaded handgun was also located.
Fernandez and Apodaca were placed under arrest and charged with five counts of human smuggling. They were transported to the Taylor County Jail and are currently being held on a bond of $5,000,000 each.
