COPPELL, TX – The Coppell girls wrestling team placed ninth in the UIL Class 6A State Wrestling Championships on April 25 at the Berry Center in Houston.
With a team total of 31 points, senior Hannah Francis finished third in the 215-pound weight class and junior Maria Husain placed sixth in the 95-pound class. Three Coppell wrestlers advanced to state from the Class 6A Region II Championships at Allen High School on April 16.
The Cowgirls conclude the wrestling season as District 6-6A winners and region runner-ups.
