Abilene Gives Community Foundation Over $1.9 Million for 2021

ABILENE, TX – The Community Foundation Of Abilene finished it’s fifth annual ‘Abilene Gives’ event by raising over $1.9 million dollars. And by the looks of the video above there are many happy faces all through out the Key City.

It makes makes me super proud to know that we, “Abilene” came out for ‘Abilene Gives’ and helped raise more money than ever before. Especially after the rough and tumble year we’ve all been experiencing. The coronavirus pandemic hurt many of our wonderful non-profits.

However all the money that was raiser will go to help support all the 138 local non-profit charities. Regardless of the previous year and in light of losing several of our non-profit leaders and/or founders during this past year. Abilenians came out in full force to give generously to Abilene’s non-profits.

The Community Foundation of Abilene President and CEO Katie Alford says “Thank you for helping fill a major need. Because of your generosity, Abilene is stronger today than we were just 24 hours ago. We are BLOWN AWAY! Our amazing community raised over $1.9 million for local nonprofits in a single day!
Abilene Gives 2021 was incredible. Thank you to everyone who gave to the causes you care about! The Community Foundation is truly honored to host this day of giving for the nonprofits who do so much to make Abilene so wonderfully Abilene.”

One enduring thought, just because “Abilene’s Day of Giving’  is over does not mean that the donating has ended. If you missed out and would like to donate still, or you’d like to start an endowment, please reach out to the Community Foundation of Abilene.
