Local resident was arrested Tuesday in Runnels County after holding his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint and forcing her to drive

Robert Gimenez and he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulted her, threatening her with a weapon and forcing her from her home.

Then, she was forced to drive against her will until contacted by officers during a traffic stop.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the Runnels County Jail.

Abilene Police Department transferred him to the Taylor County Jail on Tuesday.

He is currently being held on one count of aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon and one count of burglary on a $300,000 bond.

Gimenez has not yet been released.
