Abilene, TX – According to the police officials, the crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on State Highway 153.
It happened about six miles west of Winters or about 40 miles south of Abilene.
Francisco J. Galvan Trevino was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe east on SH-153 and attempting to pass several vehicles when he crashed head-on with a westbound 2020 Ford Edge carrying five people from Plainview. The Ford Edge caught on fire.
The Ford’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Adalynn R. Muniz and Cissy L. Ramos were also pronounced dead at the scene.
Two juveniles suffered critical injuries and were taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
Trevino suffered serious injuries.
