FORT WORTH, TX – A First Alert Weather Day is called for late Wednesday, Feb.16 into Thursday morning, Feb.17.
Warm and moist air is coming to North Texas with the southerly flow, and cloud cover, rain and storms will increase through Wednesday.
Big threat for storms is expected late Wednesday into Thursday morning, as a strong cold front will pass through North Texas which already forms a line of storms and is moving east.
The main threats are damaging winds and large hail.
The threat of rain and storms is confirmed, as well as the timing of the cold front passing overnight, but what is not confirmed is the strengths of the CAP.
We are confident on the threat of rain and storms, the timing of the cold front passing overnight but we are less confident at this time of the strength of the CAP.
