ABILENE, TX – Clay Martin has yet to be on the field with his Wylie football team since being named the new head coach and athletic director on the final day of January. That was supposed to happen in the spring, but the coronavirus pandemic canceled school, seasons and every other athletic event.
There is still plenty of uncertainty regarding the return of high school sports this fall, but the University Interscholastic League took a step forward, setting June 8 as the return for summer workouts.
