Abilene, TEXAS – According to the Abilene Fire Department, this unfortunate incident occurred on Friday.
It happened on the 800 block of Hickory Street.
Abilene Fire Department crews responded to a report of a residential structure fire.
The responding crews noted a single story residential structure fully involved with heavy smoke and fire showing.
A second alarm was called due to the close proximity of exposures to the involved structure.
An exterior attack took place due to the extent of the fire and the structural integrity of the residence.
There was nobody residing in the residence at the time of the fire.
The estimated damage is $60,000.
The fire is under investigation.
