ABILENE, TX — Several Abilene Police officers are responding to a reported Saturday night shooting in North Abilene.
Sources tell KTXS a fan came on to the field after the game and shot a player from Oklahoma Central.
Oklahoma Central was playing West Texas Scorpions Saturday night.
The Scorpions are a semi-professional football team.
Witnesses tell KTXS the shooting happened during a football game at a field near Lee Elementary.
Neighbors in the area reported hearing popping noises.
The victim was alert and speaking to the police.
There are few details on the shooter and it’s unknown if he’s been arrested.
