SAN ANGELO, TX – A lot of people will be off work to enjoy Good Friday (April 2nd) and the rest of Easter Weekend as numerous businesses and services will be closed.
Let’s run some of those closings in the San Angelo area down for you so that you are not surprised with something you weren’t expecting.
Most San Angelo city offices will be closed for Good Friday and set to reopen Monday, April 5th at 8 am.
Below is a list of some of San Angelo’s city departments and operations that will be closed during the Easter holiday weekend:
City Hall and the Community Development Building

Municipal Court
San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department
Parks and Recreation offices
Animal Services (Animal Shelter)
Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers
Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices
Nature Center
Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers
Fortunately if you have plenty of trash that needs to be picked up, there will be no interruption in trash pickup or landfill operations on Good Friday.
One of the popular places to take guest who come to visit for Easter Weekend is Fort Concho. Good news! the Fort’s Visitor Center will be open from 9-5 both on Good Friday and also Saturday.
