Lone Star Dry Goods, located at 173 Walnut St. in downtown Abilene is ringing in five years of success on Saturday, April 3.

The store, which first opened its doors in 2016, is “a curated collection of handcrafted quality goods with truly unique Americana vibe,” according to its website.

Along with the five year anniversary of Lone Star, the business is celebrating the grand opening of The Ice House at LSDG – a new beer bar conjoined to its hip on Walnut St.

The Ice House is hoping to bring people downtown Abilene with good, simple, consistent food and drinks. The bar has exclusively Shiner Bock on tap.

Both Lone Star Dry Goods and The Ice House are hosting an array of special events on Saturday:

  • The Shed food truck from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • Live music, featuring EC’s Abilene 3, a tribute band for Danny Thomas, from 6-9 p.m.
  • ‘Shiner Saturday’ with $2.50 drafts all day
  • Raffle, with prizes worth up to $500.

Doors open at 10 a.m. at Lone Star Dry Goods.

The Ice House will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
