Presidential order requires continued use of face masks at Abilene Regional Airport & CityLink

ABILENE, TX – City of Abilene Transportation Services would like to remind area residents and visitors that Abilene Regional Airport and CityLink Transit are required to follow a presidential executive order that includes the continued wearing of face masks beyond the termination of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order to do so on March 10, 2021.

The presidential executive order on the wearing of face masks states:

“…to require masks to be worn in compliance with CDC guidelines in or on: (i) airports; (ii) commercial aircraft; (iii) trains; (iv) public maritime vessels, including ferries; (v) intercity bus services; and (vi) all forms of public transportation as defined in section 5302 of title 49, United States Code….”

Please be aware that visitors to the Abilene Regional Airport and individuals utilizing CityLink services will be asked to wear a face mask beyond March 10, 2021. Refusal to do so may result in denial of service and referral to the Federal Transportation Security Administration.
