RUNGE, TX – Runge’s Gavin Gutierrez competed at the regional championship powerlifting meet and was the regional champion for Region V Division III. He advanced to state competition which was held in Abilene on March 27.
Other Runge regional qualifiers who competed were Joe Fraga, who placed third, Ramiro Torres, who placed fourth, Troy Reynolds, who was fifth, Trent Jones, who was sixth and Brody Levien, who placed eighth.
