ABILENE, TX — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported eight additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County Friday.
This brings the total number of deaths in Taylor Count to 311.
According to the health district, the patients were 2 women in their 60s, two women in their 50s, a man in his 70s, a woman in her 80s, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 70s.
No further information about the patients was available at the time of the release.
The health district reported 54 new confirmed COVID-19 cases – 26 PCR and 28 antigen.
There were 106 recoveries were also reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 13,145.
Thirty-three hospitalizations were included in the report.
As of Feb. 12, there have been 50,992 PCR and 72,744 antigen tests administered in Taylor County, of which, 6,862 PCR and 8,000 antigen tests were confirmed cases.
Additionally, 44,130 negative PCR and 64,744 negative antigen test results were reported.
