ABILENE, TX — The Abilene-Taylor County Health District reported one COVID death and 185 new cases (69 PCR, 116 antigen) on Wednesday.
The person who died was a woman in her 80s with preexisting conditions.
A total of 199 people have died from COVID in Taylor County.
There were also a total of 101 recoveries.
The number of active cases is 2,225 with 138 of those in the hospital.
Restrictions — such as bar closures and reduced restaurant capacity — will not be lifted until the area is below 15% COVID hospital capacity for seven straight days.
