Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the construction of a wall to stop the uncontrolled number of migrants who are arriving in an irregular way to the United States

It seems the border crisis is simply exacerbating, with more and more people crossing into the United States. At the end of May, authorities identified 180,034 migrants, a number that far exceeds any balance for the current fiscal year.

The consequences are not only affecting farmers, ranchers and residents throughout the border region, but also the police, who have had to go to the border and abandon their tasks of caring for the community.

“I will announce next week the plan for the state of Texas to begin building the border wall in the state of Texas,” Abbott said. “The border crisis is no laughing matter,” he added. “It’s not a tourism site for members of Congress to visit and then return to D.C. and do nothing.”

Abbott insisted “change is needed” as border towns in his state struggle with the effects of migrants flooding into the country.

“One thing we know and that is a border crisis is plaguing the farmers, the ranchers, the residents of the entire border region,” Abbott said. “Your law enforcement officers, they are having to redirect their resources to deal with the border as opposed to deal what they normally deal with which is keeping your communities safe every day,” he noted.

Abbott criticized Biden’s “open border policies”, which included the suspension of the “stay in Mexico” measure signed by the Trump administration, in addition to other suspensions that have been widely criticized. Many citizens of other countries also saw the openings as an opportunity to enter the US; poor Venezuelans are also part of this group, forced by the serious situation in their country.

Kamala Harris recently made a two-day trip to Guatemala and Mexico to address “root causes.” However, the vice president of the United States has not visited the border and has avoided answering questions about the fact when she was asked by the press.

Yesterday, she snapped at a female reporter for asking her if she would visit the border:
