ABILENE, TX — The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor Crusaders are American Southwest Conference Champions.
They defeated Hardin-Simmons 23-15 to claim their 16th Championship.
Defense was what propelled them on Saturday, blocking a kick and forcing a fumble at the goal line.
Two touchdowns and three clutch field goals from kicker Brandon Cunningham sealed the game for the Cru. They finished the season 5-0 to win the abbreviated Spring season.
