Abilene, TX – According to the police officials, his name is Thaddeus Jason Haak and he was arrested Friday morning.
Haak was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer threatening him with a firearm.
Haak has been charged with two counts of first-degree felony assault.
He is retired from the police department in July of last year.
Haak was a detective and head of the Abilene Cyber Crimes Division before the assault and subsequent fallout.
This incident is under investigation.
