ABILENE, TX— Taylor County Commissioners discuss Covid-19.
The agenda for Tuesday’s meeting has three agenda items related to the coronavirus.
- Consider approval of extending Taylor County’s Declaration of Local State of Disaster due to Public Health Emergency and any appropriate action
- Discuss and consider extending Taylor County Office Operations due to COVID-19 spread and imminent threat to public health and safety of our community and employees and any appropriate action
- Consider approval of a temporary policy addressing employee pay, use of accruals, and expanded FMLA coverage under recently passed Federal Acts, and any appropriate action
In an effort to reduce the spread of the virus, the meeting is closed to in person attendance by the public, so commissioners can practice social distancing in the courtroom.
The meeting is being live streamed on Facebook.
You can ask questions through Facebook Live. The county’s IT Department will monitor the questions and send them to commissioners to address during the meeting.
All Orders or Resolutions passed in regards to COVID-19 will be released upon approval of the Court.
